Headlights
The headlights on my '07 2500 and a lot of other regular Dodge trucks with this style headlight have the problem in the photos. I have tried polishing them with two separate polishing kits and the top of the headlight will not polish.
I ordered two brand new ones from Amazon. They both filled up with water the first time it rained and all the chrome inside turned black. Sent those back and got two new replacements. The left side condensates on the inside. Called them and they sent me another one. About a week later, before I could get the left side replaced. the right side condensates. Anybody have any idea why the condensation on the inside of the headlights? I have not installed the latest replacement. Anybody have any ideas on either case?

It seems you are not alone. If you read the reviews on a lot of the web sites, a lot of people have the same problem. The seal around the lens is leaking. One reviewer over at Autozone, said he let the lights dry out after taking them back off and then put some clear sealant around the lens, and housing and that took care of it leaking. I do not know if this works though, as I never had to do it, but it might be worth a try. I also never had any luck trying to polish out clear plastic lenses.

You cant really go wrong with genuine Mopar replacements. Theyre built better than aftermarkets. I had the same issues with my 06 Dodge ram. My originals got so bad it wouldn't pass safety inspection. Ordered aftermarkets and they collected water really well. Sent them back and tried another manufacturer, and left side leaked, the right side lens began "peeling" literally PEELING apart. Finally bit the bullet and got Mopar factory replacements. Still look new after 5 years....no leaks or condensation issues. Just food for thought...….
