Probly a similar thread around but can't find it. I'm looking at a 04 3500 4wd auto 4dr loaded, with 275,000 on the clock. Very clean truck. Not a truck that has been used hard, I know a little about its history and probly mainly road miles. Complexly stock, never chipped. Mechanic says it needs nothing. He wants 12000.00 for it. Should I be real concerned with the miles?

 

I wouldn't worry about the cummins but be worried about the dodge.

1- trans been rebuilt?
2- front end tight?
3- cabin/interior rattles and squeaks happen with mileage

as far as the motor goes I wouldn't worry about it- depending on filtration history you may need to do injectors- over all- not a bad price i don't think but don't be surprised if it will need a couple k in repair sooner than later (trans, injectors, etc)
