I'm pretty sure my 05 2500 auto Cummins is in need of a rebuild.she has 250 on her and I just replaced gov pressure selonoid and transducer,tightened bands and I think I still have a slight shuttle shift going on,and seems to be slipping in first. I've never had a tranny rebuilt before and would greatly appreciate input. My truck is mostly stock with no tuner,I'd like to get a smarty eventually but first things first. I tow but not often and can forsee ever needing it built for over 500hp.thank u

 

aftermarket valve body or a shift kit can prolong the life a lot

this will give you a better understanding of the tc- brand wise they all are going to be expensive- I think a single disc would be fine for your application- go with a triple if you want harder shifts
