Diesel power source makes cheap compound setups to use with any borg warner style turbo I think stock with a s369 or s471 would be a badass setup depending on what you plan on using it for

that is too small for a compound set up. you could do it, but the stock over an s475 is the most common compound set up because it works amazing.

i wouldnt use those turbos in a compound set up. maybe an s472, but the s475 is tried and true. why do you suggest the s369 or s471?

Because I know alot of people making alot of power with these smaller turbos and if your not looking to make a ton of power you don't need a huge turbo to get good performance and drop egt's. I'm not how sure egt's drop on a compound setup when still use the stock turbo but I figured it'll still drop quite a bit

from the prices i have seen, you can get an s475 cheaper than an s369 or s471. so imo, i dont see the point of getting a smaller more expensive.

Don't know if you ever got in touch with Brian but it crossed my mind there would be a great chance he recommended a 2nd Gen turbo setup with a 64 or 66mm turbo and with the t4 flange it should spool much better than the 3rd Gen t3 style and be a bit cheaper than a compound setup and better than a drop in turbo. What modifications have you done and auto or Manual? Didn't see mods in your signature.

After experience and not listening to people I'm going to go ahead and throw out how important it is to build your drive train before the power mods. Making power you can't put down is so frustrating. I absolutely toasted my clutch after spending alot of money on injectors a fuel system and intake and programmer and at about 21psi nothing but a smoking clutch. My flywheel looked like a damn blued rice grinder exhaust tip. I've outgrown the upgraded single disk now and I'm set on upgrading my cp3 but once I do a new dual disk clutch will be in order. Playing the diesel game gets expensive.

After I did EFI Live on my 06 6spd I was told by a tech that i should look into a dual disc clutch as my next upgrade before even doing the air filter or anything. Sadly I don't know much about transmissions or powertrains but after doing the pricing I can see why he said go ahead and take the hit and get it.. I want to do compounds so bad but I know in the long run it will be better to do this and get it out of the way.. good luck and godspeed!:choochoo:
