Default P0622 generator field not active

Turned on the key (didn't start it) got a check gauges light. Had my edge check the code got the code P0622 Generator Field Not Switching. Fired up and it and the volts stayed at 10v. Turned it off and checked the batteries both had about 12.5v. Other than cleaning the connections is there anything else I need to check?

That code is set when the feedback signal does not meet the commanded signal for the voltage regulator.
There is a big long process of checking and testing, but I will shorten it up for you.

Test across the wires on the plug on the alt. less than 15ohm?
If yes continue.
If no, replace the alt.

Test the neg terminal on that plug to ground. Less than 10ohm?
If yes, continue.
If no, repair the open

Test the other terminal to the ECM connector, less than 10ohm?
If yes, continue.
If no, repair the open.

If all of that checks out, pm me and I will finish off the process, but it gets more complex and there will be pictures involved. A major pita on my phone like I am currently doing.
