Hey guys I'm new and I don't have a diesel yet but I've been looking at a few lately. The most predominate one that sticks out to me in my area is a 2006 Mega Cab Ram 2500. It has 120k miles on it and everything is stock except a CAI and a leveling kit with aftermarket rims. The owner has only owned it 3 months after buying it from another person and is not sure if the injectors have been replaced or not. Should I go through with this one or keep looking?

Runs like it's brand new. No blow by. No smoke. No different smell. The truck runs and looks brand new.

Check everything on front end, steering box an all parts.
They wear and are expensive to replace.
They are asking top dollar, I would not pay that figuring you will need to do
some work, 9 yr old truck.

A little bit has been done already. HVAC was redone with a metal blend door and motor. There's a new steering stabilizer on the front new suspension put on with the leveling kit. Tires has 8k miles on them. As for the rest of the front haven't asked and there isn't any receipts so I assume nothing else.

second the front end note. check all the rubbers make sure they're not dry rotted being a 06 it should of had the tie rod recall but look at the track bar bushings and such. steering stabilizers don't really do much in my opinion except make the steering harder. in my opinion 27k is way to much for 120k but prices might be different in your area. check the front 4wd drive line make sure the slip joint doesn't have much up and down play (not a big deal a new drive lines $300 or so) i wouldn't worry about injectors if it doesn't have a miss there was a recall on 06 injectors so it doesn't have 120k on the injectors. good luck and have fun
