Why am I getting to much boost?

A really quick guide is 10 hp per 1 psi of boost, that is what you want to shoot for.
That is just a guide as charge quality makes much more difference than quantity at the top end. To run 400-450 HP and use it effectively you need 40-45 lbs of boost with enough oxygen to keep combustion temps in check. Trying to run an stock HE351 and 450 HP is going to get HOT, about 380-400 HP is all it is good for constant duty. That is about SW3 I most cases. SW7 is way too much fuel for hard usage on a stock turbo, you need a medium to large single or compounds to be safe.

The HE351 will work well if you just want some frequent fun and hard runs, pushing the limit to run hard all the time though.
