Default starting problem help!!

'03 5.9 2500 2 wheel drive - my son's truck - drove it home Sunday night to do brake job on it. Went out tonight to move it and park it in the shop and it won't stay started. If you turn the key from the off position it will start but immediately shut off. It is as if the fuel is cut off.

If you don't turn the key off and try to start it from the on position it just turns over. It is spinning very well so it's not battery problems. We put new batteries in it last fall.

Thanks in advance for your help

Ted

check to see if you are getting fuel to the injection pump and make sure you dont have an old fuel filter. i would go ahead check all the battery connections, the crossover cable and make sure the grounds bolted to the truck (as well as the terminals) are tight, clean and there aint corrosion on the cables. i would also clean the connections on the injector harness. fuses too if you havent already.
