Question Fuel Problems

Hello, I have an 03 Dodge Cummins, having a problem with the fuel draining from the stock fuel filter. I was wondering if I'm going to have to replace the lift pump to fix this problem or ?? It's not leaking out the water dump plug on the bottom. Appreciate any help given. Thanks, AKA JR PS, I have an Edge Chip installed, will this put more stress on the stock lift pump. I had to replace the pump about 3 or 4 yrs. ago, seems awful soon to me!!
