Default 06 3500 dead pedals under harsh acceleration

I was towing a small bumper pull horse trailer and i went to pass up a car and i floored it and so the truck started spoiling up and all of a sudden i hear a loud pop out the exhaust and a lil cloud of white smoke and my truck just coast loss of all power and goes no were so i hit the pedal agin and it did the same thing with out the pop in the exhaust the truck drives perfectly fine under normal acceleration but if i hit the pedal all the way down it just shifts up and then just coasts what could it be? Help this is my fisrt cummins just bought the truck a month ago

Have any gauges? Sounds like rail pressure spike. Then a defuel occurs. PRV pressure relief valve possible cause. Are you running a tuner or is it stock?

No its stock the only thing ive done to is straight pipe it

Check your air to air connections, sounds like one is cut or loose

go under the hood pull the main engine harness plug apart and give it a clean and put it back together
