Hey guys so I bought my first dodge ram 2500 with the 5.9 yesterday its a 2006 with 183k miles. Excellent shape and runs like a top. Also bought it from a well accredited used diesel truck dealer. The check engine light came on this evening when i went out for a drive. Its not blinking, I tried putting on the fuel cap on again. I also tried to turn the key 3/4 on and off 3 and 4 times to try to get a code but I couldn't get one. It drove great no changes in the way it drove. Should I call the dealer back or give it a couple days? Thanks for you input.

 

Just take it to auto zone and have them run the code
