2003 Dodge 2500, Replaced TPS, dead pedal, Throwing p2121
I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L HO with 230K 6 Speed
Replaced TPS after getting some codes, p2121 & p2122. There was no throttle response so figured thats what it was. Ran fine for about 2K. Then all of a sudden I was driving and lost throttle response and at the exact same time the check engine light came on. I checked the code and it was P2121 only. After pulling over I turned the truck off and restarted and everything was fine, check engine light was still on but eventually went off. I drove for a couple days and it happened again. Now its happening everyday. The weird thing is that if I turn the truck off and restart its fine or if I engage the clutch and disengage the throttle response comes right back.
Can anyone give some advice on what could be going on? The TPS is brand new, could it be a bad one (faulty)?

I didn't see anything around the pedal assembly? Only a pedal. I am going to go through all the connections again this weekend and clean them up. I have a really old Edge EZ chip, do you think that might have something to do with it?
I checked all the connections last night and everything was good. I also set my chip back to stock and then removed it. Not as much power now but Haven't had the issue yet so we will see.
Still no more issues. I have added a Smarty Jr and Edge insight to monitor everything. I did have to clear the code, even though the check engine light wasn't on the code was still in memory. I will keep everyone updated. I did also clean the Map sensor connection really good.
Alright so last night I really got on it, was testing the power of the smarty. Got her up to about 90MPH and then came to a stop light. Light turned green and I took off and BAM CEL came on with same P2121 code, lost power, pushed clutch in and power returned but CEL was still on. I am wondering since this is a voltage code for the TPS that maybe the batteries could be an issue? Someone has to have been able to diagnose this problem in the past? Any help would be appreciate.
