Default Code p1757

Well, here goes. I was out running a few errands about an hour ago. Suddenly my truck wouldnt shift from 1st to 2nd gear, after pulling away from a stop light. Rpms went up passed 2k and still wouldnt shift. Pulled over and engaged the "Tow/Haul" mode. Engine light came on (uh oh, trouble code). Trans shifted fine in this mode. stopped off @ Oreillys auto and got diagnostic. Code P1757 came up, no other codes. Likely culprit is Governor Pressure Solenoid. Im gonna attempt the fix myself, but I need some guidance to do this. Can anyone shed a little light for an ol' fart in need? Trans was last serviced just over 6k ago, and also did band adjustment at the same time. Checked fluid and looked nice and bright red, no burnt smell either. Truck has 155k miles. Oh and just completed a long trip touring the lower half of Texas (irrelevant, I know).

Researched this task myself, and looks like I can tackle this. Seems pretty straight forward. I will check back with results. Good luck to me.............

Ok gang, I finally got the time to do this today. I picked up a Borg Warner governor pressure solenoid and transducer, lots of ATF+4 and a pan gasket yesterday afternoon. I pulled up my man-shorts and got to work right about 8:30 ish this morning. Working slow and methodically, I was done in an hour and a few minutes. It was very easy to do. The hardest part was taking the electrical connector off the Transducer. Took the beast out for a shake-down test drive through town, and it shifted awsome. Found some good info on line, to tackle this fix. Cheers to all
