Default P0148 code with power loss and smoke

I had my #4 fuel injection tube fail. The typical story these days but for some reason after I replaced the injection tube my motor runs fine and had good fuel pressure until the coolant reaches about 180. Then that's when all the "FUN" begins. My motor will run sluggish, blow a bunch of white smoke and throw a P0148 code (fuel delivery malfunction) which can be a number of things.

I tightened down all the injection lines so there shouldn't be any air in the system. I'm just completely stumped why if only messes up when the engine reaches a certain temperature.

I highly doubt that is a injector issue since my truck hasn't shown the signs of failing injectors.

I'm in some desperate need of some quick advice. I hope its a simple fix like re-priming the fuel lines or taking off and putting on the injector line

The system is self priming, if the truck is running there is no issue with priming. Typical problem with these engines when the have problems warmed up is cross over tubes, injectors, PRV, or FCA. Since you already have problems with cross over tubes I would uspect all of them and maybe the install of the one that was replaced. Have to start somewhere eliminating problems.

When your #4 injector line failed, did your engine get a thorough soaking with fuel?

Actually sounds more like the FCA is failing, or has failed.
