4.5" Banks straight pip exhaust
Hello,
I've recently purchased a 2004.5 dodge 2500 that came with several upgrades one of those upgrades being the Banks 4.5 straight pipe exhaust. After taking it on our first trip pulling our 28" TT up steep grades we've decided that the lack of a muffler is going to make us all deff. Once we arrived at our vacation destination I found a shop that said "You just can't go add a muffler to this, you have to change everything from the engine back". I've never heard such a thing and thought it to be pure madness. Especially since there is a turbo between the engine and the end of the exhaust pipe. But I digress. Sinced I'm new to diesels I figured this was a good place to get educated. Is it possible to purchas a muffler and cut the exhast pipe and attach the muffler or is there something I'm needing educated on?
TIA
