Default thinking about buying an 06 6speed

Hey DB I recently started hauling cars as a side job. I'm currently pulling with a ford f350 gasser. I'm looking to buy a 2006 ram 3500 six speed. I was wondering if the trans is reliable enough to tow 18k all day. Also thinking about getting it in 4wd, thoughts on that. Yes it will be getting mods. exhaust, intake, six gun and IQ2 intake horn, intercooler, exhaust brake. and other stuff im probably forgetting. just need to know that im making a good choice with the 6spd 4wd combo. I currently get 5.5-6.0 mpg towing at 55mph and i'm usually WOT to keep it rolling.

I'd say so. May need a clutch upgrade to a Southbend or Valair. You wouldn't need an aftermarket intercooler or intake as the stock units are more than adequate, and there are a lot better options than the six gun, like EFI Live or Smarty. An aftermarket air intake and filter would be in order. I'd be more worried about if it's legal to pull that much with said truck, and you'd probably need a CDL if you don't have one.
