Default Water meth injection causes pitting?

Hi all. I have read on a few other forums, that there seems to be some concern about water meth injection. Some people seem to think that there are at least 2 problems with it. One being, that over the long term, it causes pitting. Pitting in what, I'm not sure. Perhaps the piston or the valves. The second concern is, the engine becoming addicted to it, and not wanting to run properly without the water meth. Is any of this stuff true? If not, did I leave out any other disadvantages?

Sorry I've never heard of those issues before.

I'm getting a water meth kit from Banks soon.
I think the kits are pretty sweet lower EGT'S, more power and what not.
