Default oil pressure sensor

I'm new and am trying to change the oil pressure sensor on my 04 cummins. I am having trouble finding it. My pressure gauge is all over the place so I thought this was a good place to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I kept looking and I found it. Now off to buy the wrench to change it. Thanks

I changed the sensor and it worked for awhile now sometimes when I am at a idle the oil pressure drops to nothing but if I give it some fuel it pops right back up. I don't know if I am doing something wrong I haven't received and answers. Let me know what I am doing wrong. I sure could use the help. Havent' been a diesel guy for long but lovin it.

It could be the oil pump starting to go out. That's odd or you could have a faulty new sensor.

Get a mechanical pressure guage and see what it says. There is a 1/8" npt port on top of the oil filter housing to hook it to.
