My father in-law has an 05 common rail with an edge cts and straight pipe. When he tows his fifth wheel camper while going uphill he sees egt spike to 1400. I know a stainless exhaust would help but he isnt into that. Should he be concerned with egt that high?

 

ONly if he sustains that temp past a few minutes! If so he should downshift to raise the rpms and drop the egt's Yeah I know dropping out of OD is a bitch but it will help!
