I'm thinking 2 inches up front should be about right. Anyone do anything similar?

Yep. I built a 2" leveling kit for my buddys dodge the other day. Dint have to take off 1 bolt but i had to weld it in place. Now he can fit 35s. Id go bigger..i gota 4" lift on my cummins with 36.5s and its perfect hight!
