Default maybe some of you have ran into this...

I am replacing my head unit from the stock one. I was told I needed a $150 wiring harness to hook up the cd player. I have a 04 laramie with the infinity speakers in the doors and steering wheel controls. Have any of you hooked this up without the harness? If so what did you do and did everything work?

Use the harness. It allows integration with aftermarket and stock components.

Check out this website: http://www.crutchfield.com/app/car/c...car%2fcar.aspx

Crutchfield usually gives you the dash kit and wire harness for free with the purchase of a headunit.
