If you got diesel in the oil, then it sounds like the seal around you pistons seems to be leaking. Your rings might be fried or one of your injectors burnt a hole in you piston, cause by putting a stream of fuel on one part of the piston instead of spraying fuel. This is the worse case scenario, I don't have much Cummins experience, but this might be a place to start.

Well if you got fuel in the oil, and white smoke, and blew bunch of oil down the side of your truck, it almost sounds like rings or a melted piston. Blowing oil all over your truck which I'm assuming came from the blow by by relieving pressure which is usually caused by rings when you have an excessive amount of blow by.
