So im going to look at a 06 reg. Cablong box with a 6 speed. It has 100hp injectors, bad o parts, 62mm turbo, arp head studs, cold air intake, south bend dual disk clutch has gauges. What should I look for on this truck im New to these 3rd gens.

 

Sounds like it has everything for a great start! Put a Smarty in it and 600hp is easy!
How many miles on injectors? Does it have a lift pump with extra filtration?

 

It has 165,000 on truck n 2000 miles on motor #6 piston rings broke so he bored it 20 over. It has stock lift pump.

Take a jack and check out front suspension, steering components (2wd or 4wd). Pay particular attention to the hubs. W/ the front tires up, see if there is any side/side movement. While drving listen for "popping" sounds (bad end links/ tie rod ends). Check function of A/C & heat both for vent temp output ( is it hot or cold, don't need exact temps) & correct vent function (blend doors tend to fail). Look at the injector line isolaters. A "modded" truck can either be a good thing, stuff has been done, "or", stuff has been done and it has been beat on.
