Today i was sitting idling in a parking lot and truck shook and died. Restarted it and it ran for about one minute then died. Checked codes and saw P0628. Would it be the lift pump? If so, what would you recommend?

 

Check and clean your grounds first. You can disconnect the fuel inlet line to the CP3 if you don't have a guage inline. Turn key on and see if fuel shoots out.

 

Well i finally got around to checking on it. took a little bit for the truck to start, but it finally did and ran. Didnt quit or hesitate. I am puzzled. Should i wait for it to fail again?? Im not sure if it did. What to get to replace it or if i should do it.

Wiring harness
Fuel lift pump relay
Fuel lift pump relay driver circuit shorted to external voltage
Fuel lift pump relay driver circuit open
Fuel lift pump relay ground circuit open
Fuel lift pump relay ground circuit shorted to external voltage
ECM

 

CLEAN your grounds!!
