Melted piston! What made you replace the injectors? Bad injector = melted piston!

It was running sluggish, no power, took it to mechanic, said I had a bad injector so I had him replace all them.

He said that's all he could find wrong. It runs great power wise now.just has lots of blow by and smokes at start. What's it cost roughly to have this problem fixed.

Stupid question...did you check the oil? Sometimes injectors aren't installed correctly, which causes the oil to be fuel-diluted. If it didn't have major blow by before the install, there really isn't a reason to have major blow by after...I would suspect your mechanic might not have gotten things torqued down correctly.

If you are talking a melted piston, you could be into several thousand dollars; and that's assuming the block isn't damaged.

yes sir i checked the oil, and it seems fine as far as i can tell. i havent had the truck a month yet, seems evverything runs downhill as soon as i sign on the dotted line. truck pulls hard, and i just got out of it last night and noticed a cloud of smoke coming in front of my lights so i grabbed my flash light and seen it blowing out the tube. So i guesing my only opinions are to take it and have it tore apart?

Was it oil or hot air in the cold air making it look like smoke?

I started it today and it was 70 degrees here and it still did it. I wish I could post a video of it.
