Towing over the GVWR with 45 psi in your tires isn't the smartest move and makes you a danger to other people on the road

tiremann, I guess their is an in the crowd and I found you. First smart my truck is fully upgraded with airbags, springs bigger brakes with dual calipers. So really I only tow locally and toyhauler everywhere and always under the posted limit. My truck is far safer and up to date than most. There are people who txt, drink, talk on the phone, eat, read that are far more dangerous than I So shut the hell up since you know nothing about my truck or my million plus miles and almost 40+ yrs hauling. I was just trying to offer the guy an opinion on the spacers are fine and I am sure my weights are gross fully loaded.

The tires i was running at the time had a higher load rating then the stock 10ply tires and had a max psi of 50 so why dont you do a little research before you start barking up the wrong tree.

Somebody needs a cup of coffee! Back on subject bottom line is can 12 inch wide tires be put on stock rims?
1) Yes they can and they will work BUT if you ask the manufacturer they will say 10" rim this is so the sidewalls and tread conform properly.
2) So in my opinion no they shouldn't be run due to wear issues and manufacturers safety warnings
3) Next is what is the purpose Looks, off road, towing or?

It sounds like this kid just needs tires and will grab what he can for a good price, Use is not the concern keeping the truck on the road is! So with spacers it should work. Without you will have sidewall wear so wait till you have the spacers then do it all at the same time!
Keyfischer your truck looks cool! But I would never tow with those tires they just wear out to fast for my taste! I run a 19.5 heavy haul tire used on the med duty rigs. I average about 60 to 80k per set. When running 17" rims getting 30k out of a set was about the best and sway under load not so nice!

BFGoodrich Rugged Trail T/A

LT315/70R17, Xtreme M/T Tire

ok so they had the exact same rating as the OE tires. i do know that not all 10 ply tires have that high of a rating. my point is sill valid there "tireman"

The BFG's in the link are E rated, the other MT's you posted link are only D rated, and I guarantee neither call for 50 psi at max load. POINT NOT VALID "TORQUE"

Can you not read? They both have a rating of 3195lb per tire. The bfgs have a max of 80 psi and the procomps altho not listed on that page have a max of 50 psi.
