Default Hissing sound

Just happened tonight coming home. I had to hit the brakes for some lane changer in front of me. After that a hissing noise started under the dash. Every time i go to or turn the wheel,or brake the hissing goes away, any suggestions?

Been there, believe it's a hydroboost problem. When I had the hissing sound in my steering column except for when I was turning or on the brakes I had split one of the hydraulic lines coming off the firewall directly in front of the driver in the engine compartment. Check that out, jiggle the lines to see if they stop or get quieter/louder and check everything that they go to. If this doesn't help I tried, the lines from the dealer were crazy expensive but only cost me around $20-$30 at my local Bobcat shop. Good luck and if you do have to remove these lines be cautious and a good set of line wrenches will come in handy.
