so this only happens every once in a while but its starting to be a more commen issue

i will give you an example

sitting in the parking lot waiting to pick my boy up from school key turned back to AUX so i can listen to radio and i hear a click.......click,click......click.....and with each click my dome light comes on and goes off sometimes stays on sometimes stays on

now it will do this driving down the road also but its not related to the bumps in the road
its like there is a ghost in the machine or something!!

ok now here is the best example i got (ghost story)

a couple night ago i look out the front window and i see my dome light on
i hadnt been out there for a couple hours and i looked out earlier and i knew
for a fact that it was off....so now im thinking someone has been in my truck so i
grab the boys baseball bat ,slip on my boots and head out the door
i look around my truck and i see nothing out of place and then click the light goes out?!?!

so humff that was strange...click light comes back on....what the .....click light goes back off

so i guess after me explaining that all and bloging my life with my truck the past couple weeks my question is what the heck is going on and how can i fix this issue? yes i did search and brought up nothing that refers to this type of issue....any help would be um helpful

possibly a bad switch in the door jams that turns the dome on and off, or a screwed up dimmer switch.

 

thought about that
it did it today on the way to work and i turned my dome light on by the switch
(didn't want to open the door at 60mph)
and i left it on for a couple min.
turned it back off and it quit doing it.....the next time it does it and im not moving im going
to try opening the door on each side to see what happens
