My engine makes more noise than other engines I've listened to,even if they have more miles than mine. It doesn't use hardly any oil to speak of, 161,000 mi, its just much louder still have hone marks in the cylinders,are these engines noted for wrist pin or piston slap? Would bad injectors make noise? How would I know if I had bad injectors? It seems to run well

 

Some motors are just louder than others. Worked for a company that bought twenty identicle trucks. Same motor trans the like out of the 20 you couldnt hear 4 of the trucks running from twenty or so feet away, 10-11 wernt noisy persay but you could hear them, and the rest sounded like a frieght train on steroids, 2 of the quiet ones smoked like it too.
