hello everyone i am new to the cummins and have a few questions and issues with my truck... i have a 99 2500 ext cab 4x4 and i was driving the other day and the truck died and wouldn't start no smoke out the stack or nothing and i replaced the fuel pump and the lift pump and it still wont start but now it smokes blue out the stack when trying to start i mean it will turn over till it dies but will not start any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

 

So you replaced vp44 injection pump and lift pump? oem style lift pump or what? Have you cracked injector lines to see if you have fuel getting to injectors? do you know fuel pressure?

 

crack injector lines and if black smoke comes out of exhaust and fuel comes out of the injectors when trying to start that means your getting fuel into the motor so try that. you might have air in your fuel lines too

 

Any updates on this issue?
