so i finally found a replacement tranny but its out of a 94 chevy... what would i need for it to fit my 99 ram 2500 5.9??

 

a 29 spline main shaft and which ever input shaft you need to fit your clutch

 

The cummins had the NV4500 hd. The chevy were usually just a nv4500. The shaft size are different as well as the spline are different. Whats wrong with your current trans? Ive rebuilt a few of these, all parts can be had for them, relatively cheap. aslong as your case isn't busted. but even those can be gotten. give Pat at anahiem gear a call. He will be able to set you up with all the parts you'll need to repair your old trans. Just google their name and their website and contact info should comeup..

 

You will also need to redrill the bottom 2 bolt holes so it lines up with your bell housing There where no hd before 97 in dodge or Chevy

 

And you need a new output shaft to make it work
