oil in the intake

Default oil in the intake

i have a trace amount of oil on the intake side of the turbo is this something to be concerned about

I have it too,check your play in the shaft, oil is probaly seeping by the bearing,mine has a little play in it I beleive there should be no noticeable play in it. Let's face it,some day they have to be rebuilt or replaced,you don't want so much play where the impellers scrape the housing,that will be a big ouch!

yea you need to rebuild your turbo and have your intercooler flushed.

Thats what i figured does anyone know how much it usually costs to rebuild and is that something that i would be able to do myself

well before you go rebuilding your turbo check your air filter and make sure its not clogged and there are no restrictions in your intake system.
