Ok guys I dont know jack squat about audio but I have a brother whos a dealer with Parts Express so Im tryin to fiqure out my speaker size for a 1998.5 Dodge Quad Cab, with out having to pull the panels off and also how do you pull em off without breaking the tabs. I found sizes online but I get 5 1/4 and 6 3/4 or 6 9. Anyone who knows 100% be great thanks!!!

 

Don't remember the speaker sizes, but.. usually the clips on the doors are good for a couple of removals before they have to be replaced.

 

My truck is a SLT and has 6x9's in the front and 5.25's in the rear. The proper tool makes removing the door skins much easier.

Anyone know if it's the same for an '02? I can't see it being different - same body style...

 

Not sure but the guy at the stereo shop told me mine were 6and 1/2 rounds, same body style but older.

 

I'm pulling my panels off this weekend hopefully and I'll report back with what size are mine. I've called around here and everyone has a different size listed haha.

 

6x9 doors I believe the other sizes are listed because they make adapters to put them in place of a 6x9 etc

 

6x9 up front and 5.25 in the rear. Also if you have the factory Infinity amp you will have to do an amp bypass or hook the new speakers up to the factory amp.

 

there is a screw or two as well....i lot easier if you take the screws out
