heat exchanger is a waste of time actually warms the trans up I haven't had one on my truck since 2007.

In California, yes. In -40* Alberta, I wish I still had mine.

plumb it under the front bumper I have seen that done. I live in nor cal we don't get down that cold but been in 5* with no issues with my auto working.
