Question '01 cummins 2wd auto to manual?!?!

Hey guys I have a 2001 2wd automatic and it's starting to slip like they all do. I was really wanting to throw a 6spd in there and was wondering is this a pretty difficult project?? I also need to find the tranny and everything needed to throw one in if anybody has anything or any suggestions please let me know!! Thanks.

try to find a wrecked truck with all the parts your gonnna need or if someone is selling it as a package. and its gonna be a little easier sense its a 2wd but there is still a lot of labor in this project

It'd be nice haha but isn't it damn near impossible? haha or then again it'd probly be worth buyin a 4wd instead seein how it would probably cost just as much.

I'm sick of my 2wd as well. Anyone know how hard it would be to swap a 6spd into a 4wd auto truck? I know where I can get both cheap...

putting the 6 speed in is the easy part... now hooking up hydraulics, new pedals, cutting hole in the floor is the time consuming part. it can be done my buddy did it to his and mine used to be an auto, i did the 5 speed swap

Actually I was planning on just taking my cab and putting it on the 4wd truck. That way; I would have everything there ready to go. The only thing is which motor do I want and how to get everything here to do the job...
