What is used in a 47re Torque Converter (Stock or Aftermarket) to lock up the torque converter.

I know in Allison 1000's the fluid in exhausted from the front of the lock up disc and fills in behind the lock up to force it into the front of the torque converter creating the lock up coupling between the impeller and turbine.

Does the Torque converter in the 47re Torque Converter use the same concept, or do they go about it a different way.

not sure about that bud... i know alot of guys on here install a tq converter lockup switch...do a search on diesel bombers and im sure you will find a write up on here, or someone else will chime in with info.
