will the smarty get rid of the torque management system in the truck? i'm concerned about it if i'm going to pull this summer. dont know if it'll spool a bigger turbo if it only fuels to 2k rpm's when i powerbrake it or get on it hard from a complete stop

i really like the way my truck runs with the smarty & my current set up,but the smarty did absolutely nothing to take away my tq system.the speed eliminator by BD diesel does but it shuts down some of the gauges,i.e. oil press,water temp,tach.i ran it for a short time but didn't like that.i'm still looking for another way&put up posts on several forums trying to get some input but there has not been much response.if you only use the bd box when you need it i guess it's ok, but i'd like something i can use all the time& not have to flip a switch.i have thought about getting the bd box again cause i hate the tq management,sucks getting off the line.

 

I didn't have a problem with it on the 01 Cummins I had before I got my 6spd. With the Edge it wouldn't boost at all on the line with my foot on the break. After the Smarty it would build boost and power brake.
