oil pressure gauge dont work

oil pressure gauge dont work

the gauge in the dash comes up to 40psi when i turn the key on even if the truck is off. never moves til i shuter down. help me out if ya can...thanks

I bought an oil pressure sw. from CUMMINS not Dodge and it was a direct replacement they will try to sell you a differant one with and adapter do a search to find the correct number I have it somewhere if it gets to that point I will try to find it.
