You could perform the bucket test as demonstrated in the video? This could save you time and effort before you decide to drop the tank.

alright,... so ive dropped the tank and nothing in the screen there. new filter up front, and the inline one before the fass pump is new also. still getting funny pressure reading with both electronic and mechanical gauges. its plumed from the tank, then the inline filter, to the fass pump, then up to the stock filter and then the vp. the pump changes sounds with the pressure reading not drastically but noticeable in the cab.. Is it the check ball like i was told in the beginning??

Is this a 95gph? If you have the 150, they work alot better with a draw straw kit. If that inline filter is installed the right way and everything else has checked ok and youre still getting the erratic press change with pump changing pitch, It sounds like the check ball in the pump return is not seating. We are a fass dealer and Ive seen more than one check ball problem. If the gauge is fluctuating with pump noise changing its always been the ball but, They will have a steady pattern with the gauge moving with the pump noise.

Its the 150. Ill call fass at lunch and get one sent out hopefully that will be the problem like you say. And if not then a draw straw.
