Default I have 53 block!!!!!!!!!

So I looked today and I have a 53 block... Is it worth putting any big money into this motor now? Or should I just fix my problems andbget rid of the truck as fast as I can? Thanks.

Forgot where I saw it, it may have been a self made thing from a machine shop but they sell a girdle for the side of the block that's supposed to help greatly with the distortion that causes the crack on that side of the block.

I am honestly thinking more and more I'm getting ripped on this truck, n none the less from my own boss. I'm paying 6,000 for this truck I have a misfire I can't trace a bad trans problem and a 53 block that might be cracked cause ever couple of weeks I have to add anti freeze. At the price I'm looking to repair ever thing and get a new block I could have got a brand-new truck WTF......FML!!!!!!

I have heard of plenty of the 53 block going long miles, kind of a crap shoot.

I've got a 53 and I am not crying over it.

There is a class action law suit on the repair or replacement of these "53" blocks.

Yeah and if you haven't got the notice they will give you a whopping $500 if you have had a failure.

I can't believe you haven't fixed that thing yet... look on passenger side of the block you'll know if it's cracked. Most of these issues you have can be resolved pretty easy, it's a matter of time and money...

by the way... you ever gonna send me them stock nozzles back
