Gentleman,need some answers??? I have my truck at the shop to get a new edge cts programmer! The shop is asking me if the truck has had a chip b4? I dont know? Just bought it about 3 mnths ago.He's telling me he wouldnt install it b4 figuring out if it was chipped previously?How the heck can i figure this out? And cant ya just reset or flash the computer b4 i install the new edge? 2001 dodge 2500 1500,000miles 4 " exhaust,fass 150,afe cold air intake. any help would be greatly appreciated!!

 

just tell them to put it in. the only issue would be if you use hot unlock(been there done that and didn't know it had a superchip in the comp) if this turns out to have something in the computer just remove the map sensor plug and the data link from the motor take it to dodge and have them reflash the computer. Some shops will tell you the can flash the computer but that is only with current version if yours has the current version they are unable to flash it well at least this was how it worked for me. fyi I ran around for a year with my juice installed before I did the hot unlock so it wont cause any issues.
