Default High Idle Mod

Hi Guys
Dont hold it against me but I am a 6.0 guy, But I need to ask a question for my son who has a early 2000,s dodge. He is wondering if there is a high idle mod that can be easily done to his diesel like I did on my 05 6.0 ford.My mod was as simple as just conecting the correct two wires together. Thanks in advance for any info.

It would depend on the year. 03-04 it will high idle up to 1000 rpm but it is temp controled. I believe 04.5-up you can manually idle up using cruise control. Not too sure though, as I have an 03, which year you could manually do it.

98.5-02 can enable high idle, and high idle with 3 cylinder cut out. A dealership can install the software necessary, or a Smarty. Temperature controls which high idle is used. 32* and under for high idle, 10* and under for 3cyl high idle, i believe.

Very simple to install just factory style connectors and then run the wires through the firewall to the control box. I just purchased mine for $158 shipped.
