Default cutting out?

Well when my vp was bad when I would do a burnout or when i would take off from a boost launch my truck would cut out and stumble...well i put a new vp And ad150 in last night. Everything went smooth. But when I tested to see if it would stumble or cut out it still did like nothing changed...anyone have any ideas? I wish I could tell you a fp reading but i dont have a gauge yet..but could it be my adr? I have it on the tourque tune, supposibly the hottest tune the have...other than the launches or at wot the truck runs amazing.

turn off the quad and try that. are you having the issue when doing a boosted launch? If your truck is an auto the torque management could be the issue

mine is an auto. and it cut out even before I put my chip in. if I go from a stop to wot it really dosent do it. but if i raise the r's from let's say 2200 to wot it will spit and sputter when I let off the brake..i kinda want to say its acting like its loading up. but its only at high rpms..what do you mean by the tourqe management?

torque management was in 01 & 02 trucks to protect the tranny/converter from damage... but have you checked codes? adjust apps voltage?

I haven't checked codes since the new vp but before that the only codes i had were for vp timing and temp. nothing about trans or tc.

Well you wouldn't have a code for the trans because the torque management is just doing it's job, I'm not the person to give you info on that, I'm not familiar with it... but if you have no other codes you might want to look into how to eliminate the torque management, that's my 2 cents.

put the chip on strock, tried to do a boost launch and it didnt cut out. its like i didnt have the power to get the rpm's up to where it would cut out. turn the chip back up and it cuts out. tried another adr box with a different tune on it and it cut out. it cuts out at around 28-30psi of boost... could this be a rev limiter issue? over boost? cuz i have seen 40-43 psi on the adr gauge with my stock hy35

You check for codes? My truck used to cut out going down the road. It turned out to be my vp.
