any one doing anything useful with their pto ?....only thing i have heard of is the cool covers for extra cooling

 

I run a hydrolic pump that powers a winch.

 

hmmm not a bad idea are you useing the passenger side cover then ?

 

it is hard to snake pump around exaust or fuel tank. im using pasenger side cover on a nv 5600 running a pto with a short shaft to a pump with a custom made skid plate bracket that holds pump that is 2 inches lower.

 

There are a few different coolers available. One is Fast Coolers which consists of a replacement part for the PTO covers. The new part is finned aluminum and adds about 2 quarts more volume to the tranny. There is another cooler thats almost exactly the same as the Fast Cooler but I cant remember the name. And there is another cooler/pump combination that will pump the fluid though a cooler but its not cheap.

 

not really looking for coolers looking for something more utilitarian like air compressor or winch ideas right now ....but maybe a cooler on one side an something else on the other might b good idea

 

Some time ago I looked for application options for the PTO but for whatever reason, there was nothing. So I dont know what you could do.
