Truck dies in gear with no pedal

Default Truck dies in gear with no pedal
Just got my truck back on the road after sitting 6 months and it ran good for a few weeks and all of a sudden when you put it in gear it will die or run under load really rough with no pedal response at all. From what i have read it sounds like a bad converter. Any advise?
