I use DK every time I fill up. I've heard both good and bad about it. From personal use I can say that she starts a lot better and runs/get's up and goes better. I ran a tank dry and decided to run the truck without it once and noticed an immediate difference in how she ran. So I haven't stopped using it every fill up.

I've heard of adding 2 stroke also but I've never tried it in my rig.

Just my .02 worth...

I used 2 stroke oil for a while in my 01 no issues with it. switched over to amsoil because it's less of a mess to deal with. at least 2 stroke oils designed to burn unlike transmission fluid but some people use wast motor oil in their tanks so who knows what really harms anything

What amsoil product are you using? i am looking at my options all the time as we all know we need something added to the fuel. i have had no problems with the 2 stroke but still i like to keep an open mind.

8oz a tank I believe. You need to get ash less 2 stroke oil as well.

Thanks again for all you vast knowledge regarding all things in fuel additives.

We're all here to help each other. The simple fact is, 2 stroke oil does nothing that Diesel Service doesn't.
It is made for our trucks to combat cold weather and the ill effects of ULSD.

I use the diesel fuel concentrate in summer and diesel concentrate plus cold flow for winter.

B R D post says it all 2% soypowder biodiesel is the way to go.next would be Opti-Lube summer blend then Outboard. I also use Howes Diesel Treat at every fill up I also use the Outboard at 1/2 Oz per gal all year. I was using a Oz per gal before.
