A transfer pump mounted to the block and one in the tank? Shouldn't be, should be one or the other.

If there isn't a transfer pump mounted to the block behind the fuel filter housing, its in the tank. You could call a Dealership with the VIN and see if they can tell you if it has had the intank "update".

 

One question that everyone usually asks first. Do you currently have a fuel pressure gauge. If not, that is the very first mod I would do to my Dodge/ Cummins.

 

when i do axle joints i raise the side up ur changing only to put the front axle/diff at an angle so the oil stays in when u pull the drive axle and when putting back in turn it as it slides in easier and less likely to damage seal

 

the winding noise can be coming from the front joint. had one of those go out on my dads truck.
