Just get the SO and use the money he saved on that to get some RV275 injectors. This will be more of a kick in the pants.

Of course don't forget the guages, new airbox, new exhaust and the Chip he is gonna want shortly after that.

Na he has the cold air, stacks, and all the gauges and a fass 150/150 so i will tell him what pump should he get the SO? what is that i am being stupid not sure what SO is

Standard Output Pump. I'm pretty sure it will work on his truck and from reading the previous posts it sounds like they agree. The common concensus is that if left completely stock the HO truck and pump makes a few extra HP, but if your modding your truck the HO becomes a liability and slows things down. If he goes with the SO pump he will get more kick from his mods.
