Default Good Deal?

I found a 2001 Dodge 3500 quadcab, 4x4, dually, 6spd manual, bone stock, 37,000mi. Price is $21,500 out the door. Yay or nay?

I really like my 7.3L but I'm worried about it becoming a money pit - 192k miles old, performance parts are expensive!

For that money why don't you go buy a 03-05 dodge and have more horsepower than that 2001 dodge.

I just have a thing for the 2nd generation Dodge trucks, especially the duallys because they sit so high. Also, I think they sound more like a big rig. The newer CRs may have more HP but they sound "ricey" in my opinion. I'm trying to make this truck last. It will remain stock probably until it's paid off at least. But I do appreciate your opinion...I have contemplated it myself. For just a bit more, I could have bought a 6.4L PSD on Ebay. But then I gotta worry about pulling the cab for repair and all the emissions BS (I will always be a Ford guy but I respect all diesels and understand the pros/cons). Maybe I should just stick with what I got...it's paid for

37,000 miles is a good rare find, but the price is about $4-5k too high if you ask me.

it's all worth what you want to pay for it. it's low miles, but it probably still needs gauges a lift pump etc. For that money you could buy one with more miles, but have be able to add programmer lift pump and upgraded clutch and still have some cash.

Waaaaay to much money IMHO. Im also not a fan of stuff that old with mileage that low, chances are it did alot of sitting around. 37k miles is also about 3k miles from wheel bearings, ball joints and axle joints for a second gen dodge.
