Default First 24 valve

I just bought a 2002 dually 5.9 6 speed 4x4. I was wondering where to start. I already took the turbo silencer ring out and about to get 5 inch exzaust.

Get a good lift pump like an airdog or a fass. Then get a fuel pressure gauge. You never want to see the fuel pressure drop below 10 psi on these trucks. The VP44 injection pump is really finicky with lubrication and the stock factory lift pumps are prone to failure. I went through 2 factory lift pumps in 6 months and the truck only had 30,000 miles on it

I would go with AirDog or if you want to go big get a AirDog2 the AirDog is 565 dollars and the AirDog2 is 670 dollars. I get all my stuff at Throughbred Diesel they are really good. For a programmer I have a Smarty and it's 65hp to the back wheels I like it a lot it does everything that I want it to do.Edge is good to it's just my second choice in programmers.

Wouldn't I need bigger injectors and a chip to support the larger pump?

No The pump adjustable on PSI. It is made for a factory replacement and you can turn it up when you need more fuel..

your next item you need is a fuel pressure guage!!!!!!!

and as for the next item you should get is up to you and what you are planning to do with your truck...and another thing you need to remember is the more power you make the more stress is going to be on the driveline....like the clutch ! im not sure how much tourq a stock clutch can handle but you dont want to have all the power in the world if you cant put it to the ground

im kind of a NooB at the diesel thing myself and this is just
my .02 but you deffinatly found the right forum to ask question!!!!

Thanks again DIESEL BOMBERS ya'll have helped me a ton
